Title: "Villeneuve" Ferrari Club of America Annual Meet 2022
by Jay Koka, © 2020
48”w x 30”, acrylic on canvas, (with the artist)
A very rare F1 themed work from Jay Koka pays tribute to the great Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve. Created in 2020 as the event art for the Ferrari Club of America Meet scheduled for Mont Tremblant in July 2020, the art has been held since the cancellation of the event due to COVID19 restrictions. Gilles Villeneuve (January 18, 1950 – May 8, 1982), spent six years in Grand Prix motor racing with Ferrari, winning six races and widespread acclaim for his performances.
He drove for the Italian team from 1978 until his death in 1982. He won six Grand Prix races in a short career at the highest level. In 1979, he finished second by four points in the championship to teammate Jody Scheckter. Villeneuve died in a crash caused by a collision with the March car driven by Jochen Mass during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder.
The FCA Mont Tremblant (Quebec, Canada) event has been rescheduled for July 2022.
The original painting is currently with the artist. Contact the Studio for more information.

812 and Zeelander at Portofino
Title: "812 and Zeelander at Portofino"
by Jay Koka, © 2022
36”w x 48”, acrylic on canvas, Private Collection
The setting is the much admired and very beautiful harbor of Portofino, located in the Italian Riviera region of northwest Italy.
Jay Koka" Although I am enamored of wooden boats, the Zeelander presents to me a shape that is irresistible. It is in so many ways almost "car-like" in its overall shape and layout and serves as a perfect companion to the Ferrari 812 on shore. This yacht is a Zeelander 44."
Visitors to the Studio site are well familiar with Ferrari and all the latest models including the 812. Boatbuilder Zeelander was established in the Netherlands in 2003, engineering and creating high-end motor yachts to the very high standards. www.zeelander.com
NOTE: The original painting has been altered: the country flag has been changed and the boat name has been applied to the stern. Reproductions are as originally painted.
A major new work. See more marine themes in the new Marine Theme Art section.
Coming July 2022: To be released in a reduced size (38w x 28") signed canvas edition CAN158-S

44”w x 60”, (110x150cm) acrylic on canvas, Private Collection
The setting is the grounds of the Cobble Beach Concours near Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.
Jay Koka "Like many others, this event had been cancelled two years in a row because of COVID concerns and restrictions. I met with the organizers in 2021 after the cancellation of the 2021 event and it was suggested that we do something really special for the "return" poster and event artwork. I have been privileged to create the art for every year of the event since inception and decided this would need to capture not just the magnificent winners but depict the spirit and the history of the event"
The seven Best of Show winners are presented. From the front: 1938 Delahaye 135MS Teardrop Coupe (2018), 1938 Merceded-Benz 540K (2019), 1936 Delahaye Type 135 (2014), 1928 Isotta-Frachini 8A SS (2013), 1945 Alfa Romeo 6C (2017), 1932 Auburn Speedster (2016) and 1938 Graham 97 by Saoutchik (2015).

A STUNNING 25 SQ FT ORIGINAL
A privately commissioned original painting, this very large work features the Pedrazzini Werft on Lake Zürich with three of the company's famous hand-crafted boats.
Begun by Augusto Pedrazzini in 1906, the boatyard is now run by third generation Claudio Pedrazzini who carries on the family's passion and meticulous hand built care. Pedrazzini's craftsmen need 1,800 to 4,000 man-hours (six to nine months) to build a single runabout. Mahogany, teak, burl...handmade fittings...there is an obsessive attention to quality and detail. And it shows. Not to mention - they are drop-dead gorgeous. Like wooden boats? check it out...
